Introduction to Acting for Adults
The curtain opens. The lights come up. The show begins. The excitement of live theatre takes over the stage and the audience. OnStage Teens is specially designed to give young people who have an enthusiasm for theatre a chance to work with an experienced master teacher in a professional setting. The class focuses on building skills, opening up creativity, and reinforcing self-confidence through movement and vocal exercises, monologue work, improvisation, and scene work. Students will showcase their work during a final performance that will incorporate elements of all that they have done during the class. This class will be taught by Mary Guaraldi, Producing Artistic Director of Canyon Moon Theatre. In addition to conducting workshops for several groups throughout the country, Guaraldi has taught theatre at Northfield Mount Hermon School, for Pittsburgh Public Theatre, and in the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
